Our Privacy Policy is designed to communicate our practices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of information that the USER may provide through the service at our office, telephone, website https://www.patrimoniomundial.org and other associated websites, micro sites, apps and subsists.

 

In order for our services to be offered in the best possible way, our team, website and platform collect various data and information, aiming to offer the best experience and efficiency for you. We, NETWORK FOR WORLD HERITAGE , are aware of the importance of your privacy and we take all possible measures to ensure it.

 

The conditions and information presented in this term are in accordance with Brazilian law, including the terms of  Law no. 13,709/2018  (“LGPD – General Data Protection Law”) and related rules.

 

The acceptance of the terms of this policy will be done through access to our websites, after your registration in the first access to our platform (portal or mobile application) or, in exceptional cases, through e-mail. By this acceptance, you declare knowledge and full agreement on how your information and data will be used.

 

1.1. DATA CONTROLLER

 

When this policy mentions the “WORLD HERITAGE NETWORK”, the “Net”, “we”, “us” or “our”, as well as grammatical variations, it refers to the World Heritage Network which is responsible for your information under this Privacy Policy (the “Data Controller”).

2. DATA COLLECTION AND ACTIVITIES

2.1. The USER's personal data and information will always be submitted voluntarily by the USER and may be collected in the following ways:

2.1.1. INTERNAL TEAM

The USER's data is provided by the USER and collected by the internal team of the World Heritage Network, via telephone, email, WhatsApp or chat.

 

2.1.2. DIGITAL PLATFORM OR WEBSITE

USER data is provided by the USER and collected by the platform provided by the Network by World Heritage (portal, application or website).

 

2.2 . The data and information we collect includes, but is not limited to:

 

2.2.1. REGISTRATION DATA

 

Full name, telephone number, CPF, RG, e-mail, date of birth, marital status, number of family members, country and municipality of residence, address of current residence, photo.

 

2.2.2. NAVIGATION DATA

 

IP address, USER registration date and time, USER exit date and time, device, model, operating system, country, region of location updated at the time of access, actions on the platform or website.

 

2.2.3. THIRD PARTY LIBRARIES DATA

 

Data used to improve the USER's experience on the platform or website.

  • Android Advertising ID

 

2.3. The activities and actions performed by the USER and registered on the platform or website include, but are not limited to (i) screens accessed, (ii) date and time of actions performed, (iii) operations performed within the platform or website and (iv) data on the USER's behavior within the platform or website.

 

2.4 The Network Platform can also make use of technologies such as (i) cookies, it is up to the USER to configure their Internet browser if they wish to disable them, see the topic.

 

3. COOKIES

3.1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

 

Cookies are files created by the websites you visit. They make your online experience easier by saving browsing information. With cookies, websites can keep you signed in, remember your website preferences and deliver relevant content locally.

  • PRIMARY COOKIES: created by the website you access. The website is displayed in the address bar.

3.2. HOW WE USE COOKIES

 

Cookies are used on the website to collect information for our technical and administrative staff and mainly to improve your experience when browsing the website. Being categorized as below:

 

3.2.1. AUTHENTICATION COOKIES: serve to recognize a specific USER, enabling access and use of the Site and/or Application with restricted content and/or services and providing more personalized browsing experiences.

 

3.2.2. SECURITY COOKIES : are used to activate security features of the Sites and/or Applications, in order to assist in the monitoring and/or detection of malicious activities or prohibited by this Privacy Policy, as well as to protect the USER's information from access by unauthorized third parties.

 

3.2.3. RESEARCH, ANALYSIS AND PERFORMANCE COOKIES: the purpose of this type of cookie is to help understand the performance of the Site and/or Application, measure the audience of the Site and/or Application, check the browsing habits of USERS on the Site and/or Application .

 

3.2.4. SEGMENTATION COOKIES: are linked to services provided by third parties, such as, for example, “Like” buttons and “Share” buttons contained in sites other than the World Heritage web site. The third party provides these services by acknowledging that you have visited our site, but in no way to be confused with World Heritage itself.

The cookies used by the World Heritage Network website are safe and necessary for the proper use of the tools and options offered by the website. 4. HOW WE USED THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

 

We may use, store and process personal information to (i) provide, understand, improve and develop the World Heritage Network Platform (ii) create and maintain a reliable and secure environment (how to fulfill our legal obligations and ensure compliance with the Policy Privacy Policy) and (iii) provide, customize, evaluate and improve our advertising and marketing.

 

4.1. PROVIDE, IMPROVE AND DEVELOP

 

Network Platform for World Heritage. We may use personal information to provide, improve and develop the Platform, such as to:

  • allow you to access and use the Platform;

  • operate, protect, improve and optimize the experience and the Platform, such as when performing statistical analysis and conducting surveys;

  • if you provide us with your contact information, we may process this information to: (i) facilitate your referral invitations, (ii) send your requests for referrals, (iii) detect and prevent fraud, and (iv) any purpose you authorize at the time of data collection;

  • to operate, protect, improve, optimize the experience and the Platform, customize and shape your experience.

 

We process this personal information for these purposes due to our legitimate interest in using it to improve the Network Platform for World Heritage and the experience of our USERS; in addition, we process them where necessary for the proper execution of the environment.

 

4.2. CREATE AND MAINTAIN A SAFE AND RELIABLE ENVIRONMENT.

 

We may use personal information to create and maintain a trusted and secure environment, such as:

  • detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents and other harmful activities;

  • conduct security investigations and risk assessments;

  • verify or authenticate the information or identifications you provide;

  • fulfill our legal obligations;

  • In connection with the above activities, we may profile based on your interactions with the World Heritage Network platform, your profile information and other content that you submit to the platform information obtained from third parties. If you contest the decision based on the automated process, please contact us as provided in the Contact Us section below.

 

We process this personal information for these purposes because of our legitimate interest in protecting the World Heritage Platform, in order to assess compliance with applicable laws.

 

4.3. PROVIDE, CUSTOMIZE, MEASURE AND IMPROVE OUR ADVERTISING AND MARKETING.

We may use personal information to provide, customize, evaluate and improve our advertising and marketing, such as to:

  • send you promotional, marketing, advertising and other information that may be of interest to you and advertisements on social media platforms such as Facebook or Google);

  • customize, measure and improve our advertising;

  • administer promotional activities or events sponsored or managed by the World Heritage Network;

  • invite you to relevant events and opportunities.

 

We will process your personal information for the purposes listed in this section, considering our legitimate interest in carrying out marketing activities that may be of interest to you.

 

5. SHARING AND DISSEMINATION

 

The World Heritage Network does not disclose to third parties any information provided by the USER through the website and/or platform, except:

 

Google Play Services Policies

  • In cases where the World Heritage Network is required to disclose or share the USER's personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation (for example, by virtue of a court order, or for the purpose of preventing fraud or other crimes as well as in response to a request for information submitted by a competent authority, if we understand that disclosure is in accordance with or is required under applicable laws, regulations or procedural procedures;

  • To protect the rights, assets and/or security of the platform, the USERS of the website, or any third parties. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection purposes;

  • The World Heritage Network may share information with the general public if you submit content to an open forum, such as blog comments, social media posts or other resources available through our services and visible to the general public;

  • We may share information with third parties whom you choose to let us share information with (as described in section 7 – Your Rights), for example, in the case of other applications or websites that integrate with our platform;

  • We may share information with partners who need access to information to perform the work on our behalf and as described in item 1.1, we are the data controllers;

6. RESPONSIBILITIES

 

6.1. The USER is solely responsible for:

  • for any and all acts or omissions performed by him through his access to the Internet, the Website and/or the Network Platform for World Heritage

  • for any and all content uploaded, sent and/or transmitted to the Site and/or Platform;

  • for the repair of any and all damages, direct or indirect (including resulting from violation of any rights of other USERS, third parties, including intellectual property, confidentiality and personality rights) that are caused by the World Heritage Network to any other USER, or even to any third party, including due to non-compliance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy or any act performed from their access to the Internet, the Site and/or Platform.

 

6.2. Under no circumstances will the World Heritage Network be responsible for:

  • for any act or omission performed and/or damage caused by the USER arising from access to the Site and/or Platform;

  • for the improper use of the Website and/or Platform by any USER or third parties and/or for the contents uploaded, sent and/or transmitted to the Website and/or Platform by the USERS;

  • for failures, technical impossibilities or system unavailability;

  • by the installation of viruses, trojans, malware, worm, bot, backdoor, spyware, rootkit, or any other devices that may be created as a result of Internet browsing by the USER, on the USER's or third parties' equipment.

 

6.3. The USERS declares to be aware that any and all contents sent and/or transmitted to the Site and/or Platform by any USER and/or third parties do not represent, in any way, the opinion or vision of World Heritage

 

6.4. If the USER breaches any provision of this Privacy Policy or legal provision, without prejudice to other measures, the World Heritage Network may, by itself or by third parties, at any time, at its sole discretion, without any prior notice or notification or subsequent to any USER or any third party, in any way or form, without prejudice to initiating the applicable legal measures, suspending or limiting access to the Site and/or Platform, terminating the access of any USER and/or taking other measures that understand necessary for compliance with this Privacy Policy and for the proper functioning of the Site and/or platform, at any time.

 

7. YOUR RIGHTS

 

You may exercise any of the rights described in this section with your Network Data Controller for World Heritage by sending an email to info@patrimoniomundial.org Please keep in mind that we may ask you to confirm your identity and request before taking any action about your order.

 

7.1. MANAGING YOUR INFORMATION

 

You may access and update some of your information through your USER login settings on the World Heritage Network's website and/or platform. You are responsible for keeping your personal information up to date.

 

7.2. CORRECTION OF INCORRECT OR INCOMPLETE INFORMATION

 

You have the right to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information relating to you which you cannot change through your USER login on the World Heritage Network website and/or platform

 

7.3. PORTABILITY AND DATA ACCESS

In accordance with applicable law you may allow you to request copies of your personal data held by the World Heritage Network. You may also request copies of personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and readable format and/or request that we send this information to another service provider (when technically feasible).

 

7.4. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

 

Generally speaking, we keep your personal data for as long as necessary. If you no longer want us to use your information, you can request that we delete your personal information and close your USER login. Please note that if you request that your personal information be deleted:

  • We may retain some of your personal information as necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as fraud detection and prevention and improving security;

  • We may retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to fulfill our legal obligations. For example, legal reports and audits;

  • Even after your USER login is removed some copies of your information (eg log records) may remain in our database, but are disassociated from your USER;

  • As we maintain the World Heritage Network website and/or platform to protect against accidental or malicious loss and destruction of data, residual copies of your personal information cannot be removed from our backup systems for a limited period of time.

 

7.5. WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT AND PROCESSING RESTRICTION

 

If we are processing your personal data based on your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time by changing your USER settings by sending an email to info@patrimoniomundial.org specifying which consent you are withdrawing. Please keep in mind that the withdrawal of your consent does not affect the legality of any processing activities based on such consent prior to its withdrawal.

 

7.6. OBJECTION TO PROCESSING

 

In accordance with applicable law, you may require the World Heritage Network not to process your personal data for certain specific purposes. If you object to such processing, the World Heritage Network will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate reasons for such processing or such processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. When your personal information is processed for direct marketing purposes, you can request at any time that The Network stop processing your data for these purposes by sending an email to info@patrimoniomundial.org

 

7.7. SUBMISSION OF COMPLAINTS

 

You have the right to make complaints about our activities by filing a complaint with our Data Protection Department, which can be accessed through the “Contact Us” section below or with a General Data Protection Law regulatory authority.

 

8. OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

 

8.1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

 

The Network belongs to World Heritage: (i) any and all software, applications or functionality used by the Network relating to the Site and/or Platform for access by the USERS; (ii) the visual identity of the Site and/or Platform (including the graphic-visual art project of any of its pages); (iii) the business name, brand, domain name, slogan or advertising expression or any distinctive sign of its ownership inserted on the Site; and (iv) any and all content created and produced by the Network by World Heritage, by itself or by third parties, which cannot be used, in any way or form, by USERS.

 

In cases where the Sites and/or Platform allow the USER to send and/or transmit Content, the USER grants free, non-exclusive, irrevocable and irreversible authorization to the World Heritage Network to use any and all intellectual rights (including copyrights and related) assets on any Content, sent and/or transmitted by the USER to the Site and/or Platform, in any means or form, at its sole discretion, without any restriction or limitation of any nature. The USER declares and warrants that the Contents do not infringe the rights of third parties and that they have obtained all necessary authorizations to enable their use by the Network by World Heritage.

 

8.2. SAFETY

 

We are continually implementing and updating administrative, technical and physical security measures to help protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, destruction or alteration. Among the safeguards we use to defend your information are firewalls, data encryption, and information access controls. If you know or have reason to believe that World Heritage network credentials have been lost, stolen, misappropriated or compromised, or in case of actual or suspected unauthorized use of your data, please contact us by following the instructions in the Contact Us section .

 

8.3. INTERNATIONAL DATA STORAGE AND TRANSFER

 

Personal data held by the Network by World Heritage may be transferred and stored in countries other than Brazil, including countries in the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may happen that these countries do not have the same data protection laws in force in Brazil. When we transfer your personal information to other countries, we protect that information in the way described in this Privacy Policy or in the way that you are informed at the time you provide this data (for example, by means of a specific privacy notice).

 

8.4. TOLERANCE

 

Tolerance regarding any non-compliance with any of the provisions of this Privacy Policy by any USER shall not constitute a waiver of the right to demand compliance with the obligation, nor pardon, nor amendment of what is provided herein.

 

8.5. PRIVACY POLICY CHANGES

 

The World Heritage Network reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time in accordance with this provision. Therefore, we recommend periodically visiting the Privacy Policy so that you are aware of the changes. If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will post it on the /privacy-policy/ link, and we will update the “Last Updated” date at the beginning of this Privacy Policy.

 

8.6. LEGISLATION AND JURISDICTION

 

This Privacy Policy is governed by Brazilian law. Any disputes or controversies arising from any acts practiced in the context of the use of the Sites and/or Applications by USERS, including in relation to non-compliance with this Privacy Policy or violation of the rights of the Network by World Heritage, other USERS and/or third parties , including intellectual property, confidentiality and personality rights, will be processed in the Judicial District of the Capital of the State of São Paulo.
